As an independent highly experienced refractive surgeon Dr Delaney carries out his laser vision correction at the Perfect Vision Laser Correction facility in Macquarie Street, the only refractive centre in Sydney to have the VISX Star S4 Laser and Advanced CustomVue Wavefront system. The VISX S4 with its 3D tracker is the only laser to have Iris Registration which uses a fingerprint map of the iris to more precisely align the Wavefront treatment to provide the best possible quality vision.

VISX lasers have carried out over 2 million procedures world wide and this laser has a proven success rate in clinical and American FDA studies. There are more VISX lasers installed world wide than any other laser.

Dr Delaney is a refractive surgery specialist

Dr Delaney commenced incisional refractive surgery in the late 1980's and then progressed to Laser Vision Correction when it became available in the early 1990's. His interest in refractive surgery grew from his corneal transplant surgery at Sydney's world famous St Vincent's Hospital. Dr Delaney's experience

Dr Delaney is a very experienced cataract and corneal surgeon. He was one of the first surgeons to teach modern microsurgical (phako-emulsification) techniques to eye registrars at St Vincent's Hospital. Dr Delaney is the head of the Eye Department at St Vincent's Clinic. From 1998-2003 he was a director of the Macquarie Street Excimer Laser Centre (established 1993), which was a co-operative of 30 eye surgeons with an interest in laser vision correction. Dr Delaney established the Lasik training problem at the centre, teaching and accrediting the other eye surgeons who were members of the centre. In 2003 the centre became the Perfect Vision Laser Correction facility and to date the centre has carried out in excess of 6000 laser vision corrections including over 2000 by Dr Delaney

Dr Delaney's personal attention

As a solo practitioner Dr Delaney has taken pride in the fact that his patients are always given his close personal attention on a one to one basis, with time to discuss individual outcomes of their treatment. Dr Delaney's laser consultants provide patients with all the information they need to discuss their individual case with Dr Delaney. Patients are encouraged to prepare lists of questions before seeing him. Dr Delaney then individually examines and assesses each patient and advises which of the various laser vision correction techniques is the most suitable for their eyes.
