  1. Black spots in the vision (called "floaters") are seen by many patients. They are usually inconsequential, but inform Dr Delaney when you next see them. Report any episodes of flashing lights
  2. Haloes, glare and distortion of lights, particularly at night, occur in almost all patients. These symptoms recede with time.
  3. Colours are usually brighter and contrast is enhanced
  4. Slight drooping of the upper lid of the operated eye is common. This usually resolves spontaneously.
  5. Grittiness is noticed by some patients as the wound heals. This is a common symptom which resolves with time.
  6. Some patients take a little time to adapt to a new spectacle prescription once it has been ordered. Perseverance with the new spectacles usually overcomes any symptoms.
