Qualified help for you

Virtually all patients have an intraocular lens (IOL)inserted at the time of surgery to replace their cataractous lens.

It will be necessary to measure the curvature and length of your eyeball so that the correct power of the intraocular lens can be determined. This done by the IOLMaster or ultrasound waves, The test is painless and performed in the consulting rooms.

After cataract surgery there is always a change in your refraction. This may affect your uncorrected vision and your spectacle lens power.

Please ask Dr Delaney about your likely visual results both with and without spectacles following your surgery.
