Qualified help for you

The timing of surgery will be best determined at the consultation with Dr Delaney. He will advise you to wait until your vision interferes with normal everyday activities. However, certain individuals because of their occupation or lifestyle, may require surgery earlier.

Prior to your surgery you may be advised to see your General Practitioner or Physician for a check of your health. Some routine tests may be ordered prior to your surgery.

You must tell your doctor if you are taking any drugs or other medications.

Remember to take all your medications with you on the day of your surgery.

You will be given a choice of having your operation in a hospital or in a Day Surgical Unit to suit your needs.

The majority of patients now choose to have their cataract surgery on a day-only basis.
